In April, the Chinese smartphone manufacturer OnePlus launched the OnePlus Nord CE 4 (review), which is based on the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 SoC. Now, the brand is gearing up to expand the number series and add two new smartphones to the Nord 4 lineup. These include the OnePlus Nord 4 and the Nord CE 4 Lite. While the former should be the most powerful smartphone of the series, the latter should be the most affordable version.
OnePlus Nord 4: Processor Details Leaked
What’s interesting is that both the handsets could come with a Snapdragon chipset. According to Indian tipster Yogesh Brar, the OnePlus Nord 4 could feature the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 SoC. For the uninitiated, the processor is based on TSMC’s 4nm fabrication, the technology that powers the flagship chipset Snapdragon 8 Gen 3.
Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 comes with a Kryo Cortex-X4 prime core (2.8GHz), four Cortex-A720 cores (2.6GHz), and three Cortex-A520 cores (1.9GHz). The chipset also ships with a capable graphics processor, Adreno 732. Regarding storage and memory, 7+ Gen 3 supports LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 storage. On Antutu 10, the processor scores about 1.3 million points.
OnePlus Nord 4: Expected Specifications
We also know that the OnePlus Nord 4 will launch as a rebranded version of the OnePlus Ace 3V. Since the latter went official in China last month, we have a fair idea of what the Nord 4 could offer internationally. The handset could come with a 6.74-inch AMOLED screen that supports a 120Hz refresh rate.
As an upper-mid-range phone, the OnePlus Nord 4 could come with up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 512GB of UFS 4.0 storage. Regarding optics, the smartphone could ship with a 50MP primary camera, along with an 8MP ultrawide lens. Last but not least, it could draw its power from a 5,500 mAh battery.
OnePlus Nord CE 4 Lite Could Also Ship With A Snapdragon Chipset
On the other hand, the OnePlus Nord CE 4 Lite could come with the Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 SoC. This particular chipset is also based on 4nm fabrication technology, albeit not the latest version of it. Further, it comes with a max clock speed of 2.2GHz. We’ve already seen the processor on phones like Vivo T3x 5G, Realme 12 Pro 5G, etc.
However, that is the extent of information available about the Nord CE 4 Lite. More information about both the OnePlus phones should surface on the internet soon. The company might release these smartphones in May 2024.
